Koulu, The School

Koulu The School, originally created by Demos Helsinki, is a peer-learning low-infrastructure education concept that assumes anyone can teach, everyone has skills to share, and can learn something new. It’s an incubator of new skills. The main purpose of the project is to export the concept, Finnish teacher training, to fragile environments: to informal settlements, deserts, festivals and camps.  During 2016, Koulu on Fire team piloted the concept in Burning Man, US and lately in Nepal and Jordania with the support of Finnish Church Aid. It's openware concept and free for anyone to use. For more info, visit: www.kouluonfire.com
